SCHOOL
FUNDRAISING
Help local
schools raise funds by joining in on their paper
recycling efforts.
Xenia High
School is participating in a way to promote
environmental awareness and raise funds at the same
time. The students and faculty of Xenia High School
have teamed up with Abitibi-Consolidated Recycling
Division to bring you an exciting program called Abitibi
Paper Retriever® Program.
Anyone in the
community can go to Xenia High School and easily be part
of this unique recycling program. The Abitibi Paper
Retriever® bin is located at Xenia High School, 303
Kinsey Road, Xenia, Ohio and is available 24 hours a
day.
Paper
suitable for recycling through the Abitibi Paper
Retriever® program includes all clean and dry:
| |
Newspapers |
 |
| |
Magazines |
| |
Shopping
Catalogs |
| |
Office and
School Papers |
| |
Mail |
On a
regularly scheduled basis, the Abitibi Paper Retriever®
bin will be emptied and after collecting the minimum
amount of paper per month, Xenia High School will earn
revenue from the contents of the bin. The paper is
taken to Abitibi-Consolidated Recycling processing
center, where it is sorted. The paper is then sent to
one of Abitibi-Consolidated’s de-inking facilities in
the United States, where it will be turned into
marketable paper products such as newsprint.
Everyone in
the community is encouraged to participate in this
innovative program to recycle paper products. Local
involvement can help save landfill space, clean up the
environment and earn money for their neighborhood school
by taking recyclable paper to the school’s Abitibi Paper
Retriever® bin.

participating schools in Greene County, please see the
