NOTICE
CHARLETON MILL ROAD COVERED BRIDGE #0.40
“AFTER A FIELD INSPECTION OF THE CHARLETON MILL ROAD COVERED BRIDGE #0.40 AND ON THE
ADVICE OF THE CONSULTING STRUCTURAL ENGINEER, THE BRIDGE HAS DETERIORATED TO THE POINT
IT CAN NO LONGER CONVEY TRAFFIC SAFELY. WE ARE CURRENTLY IN THE DESIGN PHASE FOR THIS
BRIDGE TO BRING IT UP TO SPECS FOR ALL TRAFFIC, INCLUDING SCHOOL BUSES AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES.
THE BRIDGE WAS CLOSED NOVEMBER 28, 2011, AND WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

HUFFMAN
DAM ROAD, Bath Township,
will be closed permanently for vehicles and will be turned over
to the Miami Conservancy District. A 10-foot wide section
of pavement will be retained and converted into a bikeway that
will eventually connect with Kauffman Avenue Bikeway, Eastwood
Metropark, Mad River Bikeway extension and will ultimately join
the River Corridor Bikeway.

NOTICE
The covered bridge on Stevenson
Road is CLOSED permanently
and has been replaced by a new structure. The bridge can
be visited at its location. Foot traffic is welcomed. |
