    When Hamvention opens May 18th at the Greene County Fairgrounds and Exposition Center in Xenia, Ohio, its theme, “Hamvention – Same Friends, New Home” says it all, according to Ron Cramer, KD8ENJ, General Chairman for the event. “Hamvention gives amateurs from all over a chance to get together with old friends. We welcome them to our new home,” Cramer said. Hamvention®, the world’s largest amateur radio gathering, brings about 25,000 people to the greater Dayton area. The three-day event includes exhibits, a flea market, forums, education sessions, and license exams.

  1. James Ranch Garden Volunteers

    Volunteers needed to help with the James Ranch Gardens. If you enjoy working in the dirt, planting and watching your hard work bloom, then join us Tuesdays beginning April 3. Volunteers are welcome to take on part of the garden as their own, or assist with the herb, annual and white garden. No prior knowledge is needed.

  2. Selfie Scavenger Hunt- Indian Mound Reserve

    Do you like a challenge? Like to solve mysteries or puzzles? Each month we will pick a different park. Participants must take a selfie at each place/each thing.     Join naturalists and expert birders Cris Barnett and Jared Merriman for a weekend at Magee Marsh, Ottawa Wildlife Refuge known as the Warbler Capitol of the world. This weekend will be filled with warblers, vireos and other spring migrants. Two overnight stays and breakfast are included. Pre-registration required. Ages 18 and up.
