The Greene County Department of
Job & Family Services
Greene County residents may
apply for public assistance benefits such as Food
Assistance, Medicaid, and Ohio Works First by completing
an application on-line at
http://odjfsbenefits.ohio.gov. Once an application
is received, you will be contacted for an interview,
which may be conducted by phone or in person.
Applications for cash, food assistance
and Medicaid will be scheduled for phone interviews and are accepted Monday thru
Friday from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm. Walk-in hours are available Monday thru Friday
from 7:30 am to 9:00 am for those applicants requesting a face-to-face interview.
Nursing Home Applications will be scheduled for face-to-face interviews.
Applications can be submitted

It is not necessary to have all
your verifications with you at the time of application.
However, some common verifications that may help us
process your application more quickly include:

Driver's license or
photo ID

Social Security card

Birth certificate

Verification of the
previous 30 days of earned income (paystubs,
self-employment records, tax records)

Verification of the
previous 30 days of unearned income (Social Security,
VA, Unemployment Compensation, child support)

Private medical
insurance card
We may request additional
verifications based on your situation, including
resources, rent/mortgage receipts, utility bills, child
care expenses, pregnancy verification, and other such
information. |
