STATEMENT OF THE PURPOSE OF THE DOMESTIC RELATIONS COURT

We, as a progressive, responsive domestic relations court, aim in Greene County to provide a legal forum in which all parties to divorce, dissolution, separation, child custody and spousal disputes are treated fairly, equitable and with the best interest of litigants as the primary concern. Furthermore, it is the goal of this court to accord the highest priority to the welfare of the minor children involved in the court's proceedings.

These needs are targeted through innovative seminars such as the Families Succeeding After Divorce Program, as well as the court's policy of continuing education for its employees, keeping current on the expanding dimensions of domestic court law, and the maintaining its ideology of the court as an entity that strives to serve and benefit the community's interest.
